Where the money goes
Bopomofo Master is made by one person. There are no investors and no ad network — the Legend upgrade is what pays for the recording sessions, the developer accounts and the time. If the free version is enough for you, use the free version; that is what it is for.
Questions about pricing
- Do I need to pay to learn all 37 symbols?
- No. The full chart, the audio and the two main games are free, and that is enough to learn the whole system.
- Is Legend a subscription?
- It can be either. There is a monthly subscription, or a one-off lifetime purchase if you would rather not have a recurring charge.
- Do I need an account to buy Legend on the website?
- No. Checkout only asks for an email. After payment you'll get an email with a link — open it on your phone with the app installed, and Legend activates automatically for whichever account is signed into the app at that moment.
- Does the website cost anything?
- No, and it never will. Every page on this site — the chart, the 37 symbol pages, both converters and the guides — is free with no account.
