Three sheets you can print and hand out today. They are ordinary web pages, so they print from any browser and save as PDF in the same step, and they are generated from the same symbol data as the rest of the site, which means they cannot quietly go out of date. Free to copy, no attribution required, nothing to sign up for.
- The 37 symbols — wall chart →Every zhuyin symbol with its pinyin equivalent, grouped the way they are taught in Taiwan.Print at A3 for the wall, or A4 as a reference sheet each student keeps in a folder.
- Zhuyin keyboard layout →The standard Dai Chien layout, showing which key types each symbol and where the tone marks live.Hand out before the first typing lesson so students are not hunting for keys while also learning the input method.
- Symbol practice sheet →A worksheet with space to write each symbol, its sound, and an example word.Set as homework for one symbol group at a time, or use the blank column for a quick end-of-lesson check.
Using these with a class
The sheets cover recognition and the keyboard, which are the two things worth doing on paper. Everything that needs repetition — hearing a symbol, being corrected, coming back to the ones a particular student keeps missing — is what the app is for, and it is free to download.
