Nine symbols left, and most of them are combinations of things you already know rather than anything new.
After today the set is complete. Everything from here is tones, reading and speed.

Compound finals

Rhotic final
What to notice
Gliding pairs: ㄞㄟㄠㄡ
Each is two vowels run together. ㄚ gliding towards ㄧ gives ㄞ, and so on. If you can say the pieces you can already say these.
Nasals: ㄢㄣㄤㄥ
Front n against back ng, on two different vowels. Slow down here: ㄢ/ㄤ and ㄣ/ㄥ stay fuzzy for months if you rush them, and they distinguish a lot of real words.
ㄦ, on its own
The rhotic final, which forms a syllable by itself and also attaches to the end of others. You will hear it far less in Taiwan than in Beijing, which is itself a useful thing to know.
